Values-Based Approaches: How to Engage Stakeholders and Lead Meaningful Change in Education Hosted by the ABA in Schools SIG
1 Supervision CEUs will be available for attendance
Location: Zoom (Login will be emailed prior to the presentation)
Presenters: Paul Gavoni
Summary:
In education, knowing what to do isn’t enough. Meaningful change happens when we engage people in actually doing it — together, consistently, and with purpose.
Values-Based Approaches: Driving Meaningful Change in Education challenges BCBAs and consultants to go beyond recommendations and drive real, sustainable action by aligning behavior analytic practices with the values that matter most to schools. Drawing from the best-selling book Adaptive Intelligence, this session explores how Organizational Behavior Management (OBM) can be used to build systems that chain performance directly to learner outcomes. Participants will learn practical strategies for not only identifying what needs to change, but for engaging stakeholders in owning the change, fostering collaboration, and reinforcing behavior that moves schools closer to their vision. Innovation in education demands more than good ideas — it demands values-driven action. This session shows you how to lead it.
