AzABA Committees

Committees are established by the board to carry out important functions for AzABA.  Each committee is chaired by a board member, and committees work on goals approved by the board to advance the association’s impact for members and the field of behavior analysis.  All AzABA members are eligible to serve on a committee.  Current committees include:

Equity, Diversity & INclusion committee

The Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Committee is currently chaired by Jamilah Amirah and Jessica Belokas. There are three EDI subcommittees: Equal Access to Services, chaired by Kayla Rosenberger; Informing & Impacting Legislation & Policy, chaired by Diana Davis-Wilson; Training & Education, chaired by Ehren Werntz.

Ethics Committee

The Ethics Committee provides guidance for AzABA members regarding how to proceed in complex ethical situations, including how to interpret the BACB’s code of ethics. The Ethics Committee is currently chaired by Jessie Marshall and Kristina Bartell.

Marketing & Outreach Committee

The Marketing & Outreach Committee communicates updates as well as disseminates information and educational opportunities to AzABA members and the general public. Examples include the website, surveys, member recruitment, and social media. Additionally, the committee identifies opportunities for community engagement and executes professional partnerships of reciprocal benefit. Activities include public relations, member recruitment, information dissemination and development of sponsorship agreements. The Marketing & Outreach Committee is currently chaired by Sarah Hamilton and Bailey Kadlec.

Program Committee

The Program Committee helps plan events and activities for AzABA members. Examples include continuing education presentations, the annual conference, networking opportunities, and special interest groups. The Program Committee is currently chaired by Christina Ricciardelli and Kayla Rosenberger. 

Public Policy Committee

The Public Policy Committee works on a variety of issues that affect the practice of behavior analysis in the areas of legislation, licensing, and funding regulations. Activities include building relationships with policy makers, staying aware of and communicating significant legislative issues, and crafting position statements for AzABA. The Public Policy Committee is currently chaired by Liz Carr and Ashley Sanchez.
