Summary:
Join the ACT/RFT SIG for Allie Newell’s second ACT-U presentation covering mindfulness and acceptance. ACT-U is a 6-hour interactive course that focuses on learning and applying the principles of ACT with its participants. By embracing and integrating the principles and practices of ACT into our own lives, we can better serve the populations we work within. Join us for the second part of this transformative series!

Learning Objectives:

  1. Describe how experiential avoidance affects behavior
  2. Describe acceptance and mindfulness from a behavior-analytic framework
  3. Identify three ways to practice present moment awareness to support behavior change
