Summary:
Acceptance and commitment training has been a popular area of research in the field of applied behavior analysis for several years. Many of the research studies conducted are centered around helping individuals live lives of vitality and purpose. In this presentation we will review several behavior analytic and ACT focused research articles that directly relate to the current study. The current study focused on implementing ACT based interventions with the intent of increasing individual job performance, employee satisfaction, team cohesion and self compassion for those who work in the behavior services industry. The field of applied behavior analysis reports high rates of worker stress and burnout. The presenters will discuss the methodologies used, share and review the data collected and discuss the outcomes of the study. There will also be discussion regarding the study's limitations and suggested areas for future research.
