DESCRIPTION:
This intensive 1-day workshop is designed to help participants design an organizational behavior management (OBM) project that can be implemented within their place of work. By focusing on application, OBM Applied! Bootcamp participants will walk through several OBM process steps, with the guidance of experienced OBM practitioners, including determining the business opportunity, defining the behaviors and tying them to business results, conducting performance diagnostics for existing issues and selecting the best evidence-based solutions, engaging the "doers"in the project, using data to guide decisions, assessing social validity, and setting up the performance improvements to sustain beyond the project. OBM is a science seldom covered in depth in ABA master's programs or certification series, let alone a concept that students are able to practice; but by using ABA applied to business, BCBAs can have a great impact on the behaviors of their employees and leaders within their organizations.
